Wanyama picks up narrow win with CF Montreal
Former Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama played a
crucial role in helping his Canadian club CF Montreal pick up a 2-1 win over FC
Cincinnati on Sunday in a Major League Soccer match.
Wanyama made a cameo from the bench and played for 27
minutes, ensuring his side did not concede a goal.
CF Montreal’s goals were scored by Josef Martinez and Ariel
Lassiter while Yuya Kubo was on the score sheet for the visitors.
Superb Tera helps Ararat-Armenia silence rivals in epic
derby
Kenyan midfielder Alwyn Tera played an instrumental role for his side Ararat-Armenia in a hotly contested derby against rivals FC Ararat Yerevan.

The 27-year-old provided an assist to help Ararat-Armenia
secure a 2-1 win over their arch-rivals in the match staged on Friday night at
the Yerevan Football Academy Stadium.
The hosts opened the scoring at the stroke of halftime
through Artur Grigoryan before Mohamed Yattara equalized in the 59th minute.
Ararat-Armenia’s winner came in the 87th minute when Tera
linked up with Alexis Rodriguez, who put the ball into the back of the net to
ensure his side picked up the maximum points.
Another Harambee Stars player in Amos Nondi, also featured
for Ararat-Armenia as he played for the entire match.
The win helped Ararat-Armenia maintain their third spot on
the log with 58 points, four behind league leaders FC Noah.

Odada on the losing end in Denmark
Harambee Stars' fast-rising midfielder Richard Odada had a
game to forget as his Aalborg BK side bottled a one-goal lead as they suffered
a 2-1 extra-time defeat to Hobro IK in a Danish first-division match.
Odada was introduced into the game in the 76th minute when
the score line read 0-0. His cameo improved Aalborg BK’s overall play and a few
minutes later Jubril Adedeji put them ahead.
However, the narrow lead only lasted for three minutes
before Mathias Laustrup Kristensen pulled one back for Hobro IK.
Frederik Rasmus Christensen’s 90+6 minute winner ensured the
hosts triumphed in the end-to-end match.

Tyler Onyango beaten with Everton U21
Tyler Onyango’s assist was not enough to help Everton U21 beat
Blackburn U21 in an English Premier League 2 encounter staged at the Haig
Avenue.
The Toffees, who sit at position 21 at the moment with 16
points, lost the compelling clash 3-2 with Onyango setting up Charlie Jay
Whitaker’s goal in the 40th minute before he was substituted with less than
half an hour remaining to the end of the match.
Elsewhere, Eric Johanna featured for FC UTA Arad in their 3-1
loss to FC Hermannstadt in the Romanian top-flight league on Friday.
Finally, Harambee Stars right-back Daniel Francis Anyembe featured for the entire 90 minutes in Viborg’s 3-1 win against Odense Boldklub in a Danish Superliga tie.
