Record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia FC produced a brilliant
comeback to pick a vital point against Nzoia Sugar at the Raila Odinga Stadium
in Homa Bay on Saturday, December 9.
The Jonathan McKinstry coached side fell behind with just 10
minutes gone when Barisa Mohamed put Nzoia Sugar ahead after receiving a pass
from Joseph Oyugi.
After the goal, Gor Mahia tried their best to get the
equalizer but their opponents had other plans for them.
Mohamed got his second of the day in the 31st minute which silenced the K’Ogalo fans who had turned out in considerable numbers to support their beloved club.

Nzoia Sugar looked the better side as the match went on,
playing beautiful football and doing a good defensive job to protect their
lead.
However, a slight loss of concentration allowed Patrick
Kaddu to pull one back for Gor Mahia at the stroke of halftime.
The goal made K’Ogalo players hungrier for more goals as
they launched attack after attack on the solid Nzoia defense at the start of
the second half.
The constant pressure eventually paid off with less than 15 minutes gone into the second half when Gor were awarded a penalty.
