Esse Akida rescues PAOK’s record
Former Thika Queens forward Esse Akida helped her PAOK side
to maintain its unbeaten run in the Greek Women’s Super League on Saturday
evening.
The skillful attacker scored twice in an epic away encounter
against mid-table club AEK Athens which ended 2-2.
“Brace in our outing against AEK earlier today. The weekend
can begin officially,” stated the Kenya Methodist University (KEMU) alumni.
PAOK currently sit at the top of the league with 55 points after 19 games.
The club which has a goal difference of 60 has won 18 games and only picked up a single draw since the start of the season.

Lilian Awour keeps a clean sheet in Romania
Harambee Starlets shot-stopper Lilian Awour kept a clean sheet for her Romanian-based club Farul Constanta on Sunday evening.
Awour helped Farul Constanta beat SSU Polytechnic Timisoara 3-0 in a Liga 1 match which was staged at Stadionul Central.
The massive win ensured Farul Constanta, who have amassed 35 points so far, reduced the gap between them and league leaders SSU Politehnica Timisoara to three points.
Up next for the high-flying Constanta is a clash against Olimpia Cluj slated for Saturday, March 30.

Marjolen Nekesa’s five-star performance in Czech Republic
Harambee Starlets striker Marjolen Nekesa was unplayable in
the Czech Republic Women’s League on Sunday afternoon.
The powerful player scored an impressive five goals to help Slavia Praha thrash Lokomitiva Borno 11-0 in a one-sided encounter. The goals helped Nekesa climb to the top of the scoring chart with 19 goals.
Elsewhere, the experienced duo of Topister Situma and Dorcas Shikobe were in the starting eleven in the Seirines Grevenon squad which shared the spoils against Olympiada Imitou in the Greece Women’s Super League on Sunday.
