On Monday morning, SportPesa News exclusively revealed that the player is on the verge of moving to Algeria.
- Omalla is the current top scorer in the league with 9 goals.
- He has previously been linked with a myriad of moves that have failed to materialize up to this point.
- Gor Mahia will receive over 3 million for the deal.
Gor Mahia forward Benson Omala is expected to earn an
appetizing salary should his proposed loan move to Algerian topflight side JS
Saoura turn successful.
On Monday morning, SportPesa News exclusively revealed that the
player is on the verge of moving to the side with Gor Mahia set to pocket more
than 3 million for the six-month loan deal.
The move coming after weeks of speculation regarding the
22-year-old’s future with the defending Football Kenya Federation Premier
League (FKFPL) champions.
According to documents seen by SportPesa News, Omala will receive a net salary of $8,000 (approximately Ksh 1,312, 720) per month once the contract is signed.

Moreover, the Kisumu Day Secondary school is also expected
to be given a personal car, and a house.
“The player will be entitled to the following by the club:
house, personal car, medical insurance cover, match bonuses as per the standard
club rates and net salary of $8000 per month,” part of the section of the
agreement read.
On the other hand, the Gor Mahia management will get $20,000
as compensation for the half a season loan move should Omala pass the medical
tests.

It was earlier alleged that Omala was on the verge of
signing a deal with another Algerian side USM Alger. However, K’Ogalo
chairperson Ambrose Rachier dismissed the claims.
“That news (Omalla being linked with a move away) is not
true as far as I am concerned. Being the chairperson of Gor Mahia, I have not
been contacted by anybody about the transfer or sale of Omalla.
So, we are not aware of any intended sale or transfer of
Omalla to put it briefly,” Rachier stated in a recent exclusive interview with
SportPesa News.
Omala is one of the hottest prospects in Kenyan football at
the moment and has been tipped by many football experts to lead the Harambee
Stars attack in the near future.
The former Kisumu Day alumni is currently the top goal scorer
in the FKFPL League, having found the back of the net nine times.
Besides Gor Mahia, Omala has also had a short stint with the Kakamega-based side Western Stima and Swedish club FC Linköping City.
