- Eighth-place Leopards on the other hand have only managed one win from their last five matches and are coming off a barren draw against Kenya Commercial Bank FC (KCB)
- Lowly Kariobangi Sharks FC have only managed one win the entire season and are languishing in the relegation zone with eight points ahead of a feisty tie against 10th place Posta Rangers FC
NAIROBI, Kenya- Tusker FC have the chance to open up a four-point gap at the top of the SportPesa Premier League (SPL) table by the end of the weekend if they can grind out a win against AFC Leopards SC on Sunday.
The brewers come into the fixture at the Kenyatta Stadium on the back of four straight wins, most recently a 1-0 victory over Wazito FC on Wednesday at the same venue.
Eighth-place Leopards on the other hand have only managed one win from their last five matches and are coming off a barren draw against Kenya Commercial Bank FC (KCB).
KCB are in fifth place on the log with 22 points and will be in action earlier in the day at the same venue against Wazito.
There is only one SPL match slated for Saturday and it will be played at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu as Kisumu All Stars FC host 12th place Bandari FC.
All Stars are second from bottom only ahead of Chemelil Sugar FC following the expulsion of Sony Sugar FC from the top tier and will need to halt a three-match losing streak if they are to improve their position on the table.
Bandari on the other hand have found it hard to find their footing this season and only boast one win in their last five, leaving them outside the top 10 with 12 points.
Lowly Kariobangi Sharks FC have only managed one win the entire season and are languishing in the relegation zone with eight points ahead of a feisty tie against 10th place Posta Rangers FC.
The SportPesa Cup winners are without a win since October when they beat Chemelil 2-0, which remains their only win of the season.
The only other fixture on the weekend sees fourth place Western Stima FC travel for an away tie against Nzoia Sugar FC at the Sudi Stadium.
A victory for Stima will see them finish the weekend in second place whilst the sugar millers have the chance to move away from the drop zone into 11th place if they can bag all three points.
