Portuguese prolific goal scorer Cristiano Ronaldo has melted Vinicius Junior’s heart after gifting him his football jersey.

Vinicius Jr, who suffered an injury during Brazil’s 2-1 loss to Colombia on Friday, November 17 revealed the gesture on his social media platform.

“A little trip of my gallery,” read the caption on his X account that was accompanied by four photos including Ronaldo’s signed jersey.

The jersey which the Al-Nassr superstar wore during his nation’s convincing win over Liechtenstein also had a brief message written in Portuguese.

Although Vinicius and Ronaldo never had a chance to play alongside each other during the former’s trophy laden stint at the iconic Santiago Bernabéu, they have forged and maintained a close relationship.

Vinicius has on several occasions referred to Ronaldo has his idol and even made several comments on the 38-year-old’s social media posts.

Earlier this month, their bromance was also evident during Real Madrid’s recent La Liga clash against Valencia when Vinicius did Ronaldo’s famous “calma” celebration after netting a goal in his side’s huge 5 – 1 win.

Ronaldo debuted the celebration eleven years ago during a memorable El- Classico clash in which Real Madrid beat rivals Barcelona 2 -1 at the Nou Camp.

Vinicius is expected to be sidelined for a number of weeks due to the left thigh injury. However, as the pacy forward continues with his recovery, he will have a something from a special person to cherish.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo is enjoying the form of his life at the Saudi Pro League where he currently leads the golden boot race.

The five-time Ballon d’Or has scored 15 goals so far, four more than former Al Hilal forward Aleksandar Mitrovic.

He is also among the players with the most assists in the league tied at seven with Mourad Batna and ex-Manchester City man Riyad Mahrez.
