Some like Joseph Okumu and Richard Odada, who were part of the Harambee Stars squad that lifted the inaugural Four Nations trophy six days ago carried the winning momentum to their clubs.

Okumu scores first goal for Stade de Reims

Harambee Stars reliable defender Joseph Okumu achieved an incredible milestone in his Stade de Reims career after helping the club earn a point against Lyon.

Okumu, who joined Reims in July 2023, scored his first goal for the French Ligue 1 club in the evenly contested match which was played at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais.

The 26-year-old opened the scoring for his side in the 55th minute before Ernest Nuamah equalized for the visitors 10 minutes later.

The draw increased Stade de Reims tally to 39 points, four more than Lyon, and put them in an excellent position to play European football next season.

Anyembe helps Viborg secure huge win

Daniel Anyembe, who played an instrumental role in Harambee Stars' win over Zimbabwe a few days ago, was also on the score sheet over the weekend.

The talented right-back played a vital role in helping Viborg beat Hvidovre 3 – 1 in the Danish Superliga on Saturday.

He scored the third goal of the match in the 59th minute to put the game beyond the reach of the visitors.

The other Viborg goals were scored by Isak Jensen in the 24th and 65th minute while Tobias Thomsen pulled one back for the visitors with a few minutes remaining to the end of the match.

Akida wins battle against home girl Elizabeth Katungwa in Czech Republic

The Harambee Starlets duo of Esse Akida and Elizabeth Katungwa faced each other in the Greek Women’s Super League on Sunday evening.

Akida ended up on the winning side with her club PAOK FC beating Katungwa’s employee AE Larrisa 3-0 to extend their lead at the top of the table to 58 points.

Reacting after the match, Akida expressed her delight for picking up the maximum points against her compatriot’s club.

“Another win against AEL 1964 on Sunday. Always a nice feeling when you come against a country mate. Better luck next time Elizabeth Katungwa,” stated Akida.

AE Larrisa currently sit at position eight in the league standings with 27 points and they have played one match more than some of the other clubs.

Superb Marjolen Nekesa bags a hat-trick for Slavia Praha

Finally, Red hot forward Marjolen Nekesa Wafula continued with her impressive goal-scoring form for Czech Republic side Slavia Praha.

Wafula scored a hat-trick in less than an hour to help her side demolish Pardubice 10-0 and maintain their unbeaten run.

The three goals came just one week after the powerful forward had netted five goals against Lokomotiva Brno Horní Heršpice.

So far, Nekesa has scored 22 goals since the start of the season, making her one of the favorites to win the coveted Golden Boot Award.
