“I am an advocate for equality. I believe that the same way
we are supporting our sportsmen, we must similarly support our sportswomen.
The same support we give to Harambee Stars must be extended
to Harambee Starlets. And so the same package we offered to Harambee Stars for
winning must also be available to the girls,” he assured.
Harambee Starlets are expected to receive Ksh 5,000,000
should they dismantle their Southern Africa rivals.

Furthermore, the former Parliamentarian divulged the role he
had to play to convince the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) to let go of star
midfielder Sheril Angachi.
“We have facilitated release of Sheril Angachi. As you can
see from her haircut, she is undergoing KDF training.
I am very grateful to
general Ogolla for accepting my plea for Sheril to be released from training to
join the rest of the girls,” he stated.
Namwamba ended by urging Kenyans to turn up in large numbers
and support the girls in their quest for bagging the WAFCON ticket.

WAFCON since 2016. I just want to encourage everyone to support the team.
