Kenyan Rugby Mourns Passing Of Impala's Richard Sindindi Otieno

- Impala announced the sudden passing of Sindindi, stating the former Maseno University student is suspected to have drowned while on a routine swimming exercise
NAIROBI, Kenya- The
Kenya Rugby fraternity is in mourning following the untimely demise of Resolution
Impala Saracens RFC full back Richard Sindindi Otieno on Monday morning.
Impala announced the sudden passing of Sindindi, stating the
former Maseno University student is suspected to have drowned while on a
routine swimming exercise.
"The Kenya Rugby Fraternity is saddened by the untimely
demise of one of our very own Sidindi.
“An Impala Saracens player who passed away this morning. We send our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time. #RIPJadha" the Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) underlined in a statement.

Sindindi’s last game for his club was a Kenya Cup defeat to
KCB RFC on Saturday, February 16.
Nicknamed ‘Real Jadhah Power’, Sindindi was signed from
Kisumu RFC by the Sarries in 2016 shortly after he had featured for the
national team Shujaa during that year’s Safari Sevens International tournament.
He did not feature for Impala over the weekend during his
side’s 36-27 victory over Menengai Cream Homeboyz RFC at the RFUEA Grounds as
he did not make the match-day squad.
Sindindi leaves behind a young family, his wife Catherine
and daughter Candace.
