With defending champions Gor Mahia one win away from reclaiming the title, Police FC and Tusker FC, who sit second and third in the log at the moment with 54 and 53 points respectively, are set to battle it out as they try to secure the runner-up position.
Tusker go into the game on the back of a 2-2 draw against
Nairobi City Stars while the law enforcers suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat, their
first in 2024, in the hands of AFC Leopards in their most recent match.
Speaking ahead of the crunch clash, Tusker defender Eugene
Asike acknowledged that they will have
to be at their best to overcome their opponents.
“We hope to bounce back to winning ways against Kenya
Police. Of course, it is not going to be an easy match. It is a good team we
are facing and we have to be up for it.

We need to go back home, refresh, regroup, re-energize and
then go out on Saturday with a positive mind and an attitude to get the three
points,” he commented.
Asike added that they have taken their recent draw against
Nairobi City Stars as a big lesson and will avoid the mistakes they made in
that epic match that saw City Stars come back from two goals down to force a
2-2 draw.
As for Shabana FC, they need to beat Kariobangi Sharks in
order to stand a chance of avoiding relegation.
The side which is coached by former Harambee Stars player
Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omolo currently occupy the 16th position in the log with 29
points, one more than Muhoroni Youth.
