Kakamega Homeboyz star Moses Shummah reveals secret behind goalscoring form

The lanky foward has six goals already after 14 matches played so far this season.

Fast-rising striker Moses Shumah has disclosed the factors
that have played a big role in his good form in front of goal this
season.
Shumah has been instrumental in Kakamega Homeboyz’ good run
in the 23/24 Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) campaign so far.
His goals have helped the Western region-based club to sit second in the standings with 27 points after 14 games with his side just a point behind leaders and defending champions Gor Mahia.

In an interview with SportPesa News, Shumah who
received his first Harambee Stars call up in May this year, divulged that he credits
his eye for goal to three things.
“It is just working hard and trying to be consistent. Prayer
also helps a lot in this game,” stated the lad who has previously featured for
Mombasa Elite.
Shumah is currently ranked second in the golden boot race having found the back of the next six times. His latest goal came in Kakamega Homeboyz’s 2-0 home victory against Shabana FC at the Bukhungu Stadium on Sunday, December 10.

The talented player scored from the penalty spot after one
of the Shabana players brought him down. He nearly bagged his brace at the last
moments of the match but unluckily his bullet header came off the post.
Shumah is tied at six goals with KCB FC forward Francis
Kahiro in the hotly contested race which is currently led by Gor Mahia ace
Benson Omalla - the Kisumu Day product has nine goals to his name so far.
Ulinzi Stars’ Boniface Muchiri, Ingwe’s Brian Yakhama and Murang’a Seal’s Awita Batts are also in the mix for the coveted trophy.

Shumah has also been unselfish, a trait which is rare among
footballers nowadays, making two assists so far.
His teammate Eston Omengo leads the Homeboyz’s assists
chart with five ahead of Kevin Amwayi and Ambrose Sifuna who have made four and
three goal scoring contributions.
