Gor Mahia and Tusker will seemingly fight until the end as they played out to a barren draw at the Nyayo Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

With only 3 games left in the Kenya Premier League season, Tusker are top of the standings with 65 points, one more than Gor in second place.

The game was filled with plenty of great chances for either team to break the deadlock but it just was not to be as both teams fight to be crowned champions.

Among the thousands of fans in attendance, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo were also present to cheer on K'Ogalo.

Barely three minutes into play, Tusker skipper Humphrey Mieno swung a shot on the half-volley from the edge of the box but it went wide of the target.

On the quarter-hour mark, Levin Odhiambo delivered a free-kick from the left, only for former Gor defender Charles Momanyi to scoop his attempt wide.

Gor had their share and had a chance at goal with Sidney Wahongo coming to the end of a free-kick, but his header flew wide as they began to stamp their authority.

KPL top scorer got into good positions twice in the half before being ruled offside once and Tusker goalie Brian Bwire pulling off a good save from his effort on goal.

After the half time break, Jonathan McKinstry's team talk seemed to put some fight in his team as they came out the stronger side with a couple of chances.

Though Shaphan Oyugi scored in the 69th minute much to the elation of the brewers fans in the stands but his goal was ruled offside.

Boniface Omondi and Omala linked up well once more but they could not find a way to put the ball in the back of the net and had to settle for a point.

Tusker still have to play relegation-threatened Wazito, Posta Rangers and already relegated Vihiga Bullets in the final fixtures of the season.

Gor's calendar is a bit more intense as they have matches against Ulinzi Stars, Kakamega Homeboyz and City Stars.
