No matter how fast you are, Eliud believes that running is a force for good. Beyond the obvious benefits of improving our health and well-being, running has the power to enrich our lives and bring us closer together,” a statement from the firm read in part.

On his part, Kipchoge took to social media to express his delight for being accorded such an honor with the watch featuring a design with the national Kenyan colors and Kipchoge's own signature.

“I am excited to share my new, limited edition Coros global pace 3 watch, featuring my written signature and traditional Kenyan geometric prints, inspired by a place I call home.

My dream has always been to make this world a running world, whether you are just getting started, or running your next race,” stated the Kaptagat-based runner.

The watch, which does not come cheap, has several unique features including the ability to provide detailed information on sleep recovery, incredible battery life, and an excellent navigation.

Moreover, it is water resistant allowing users to swim, shower and sweat without any worries.

Kenyans will have to part ways with a whopping $249 (approximately Ksh 38,000) to buy the watch.

At the age of 39, Kipchoge is in line to make his final Olympic Games appearance at the upcoming 2024 Paris edition scheduled to start from July.

The multiple world marathon majors’ series winner has already started his preparation for the event where he is expected to represent Kenya alongside the likes of the recently crowned world record holder Kelvin Kiptum who is expected to be among his toughest challenger.
