NAIROBI, Kenya- Moneymen will leave their calculators for a day of leisure at Ruiru Sports Club on Saturday where 200 players will gather for the Annual Accountants Golf Day.

“The course is playing relatively competitive with a battery of local golfers in good form and the course which has relatively improved thanks to the short rains. The tournament is expected to bring out quite a battle of sorts” said Peter Mwaura, the Ruiru Golf Captain. 

“We are glad we are hosting this tournament again which is ordinarily one of our biggest every year,” he added ahead of the tournament sponsored by some of the country’s top accountants who are members of the club and their colleagues from elsewhere that has attracted some of the best golfers in the county.

Long-hitting Anthony Mwenja, Mike Nyangi, Chris Kiai and Samuel Njinu are other accountants with a shout in the race to land top honours.

Ruiru hosted the first event of The Road to Portugal series last weekend that is an international pairs event sponsored by Windhoek.
