“We have to win our
home matches, and get a point or so away and by doing that we will definitely
make it to the next round of the competition.
“In this competition, the only way to stand a chance of
going far, you have to be ruthless at home,” Oktay stated after the game.
Despite time wasting antics deployed by the
visiting side throughout the encounter, the Kenyans held their cool and did not
fall into the ploy and their persistence was rewarded when Kahata put them ahead in
the 81st minute.
With four minutes left on the clock, Tuyisenge doubled the
hosts advantage with a well taken right-footed strike that send the thousands
of fans in attendance into ecstasy.
“They wasted time for the better part of the game and I told
my players not to be distracted by the antics and push until the end.
“They never gave up and I knew the goal would eventually
come. They fought hard and I’m happy that we managed to get the needed result
at home,” the Turkish tactician added.

top scorer in this year’s competition.
“I'm grateful to God for the goal and my teammates for a
spirited performance. I hope to continue my form and I will push to be the
tournament’s top scorer,” Tuyisenge underlined.
The SportPesa Premier League (SPL) champions resume action on Wednesday in a mouth-watering clash against 11-time league winners Tusker FC in Nairobi.
