Elsewhere, league leaders Gor Mahia FC failed to stretch
their lead at the top of the table after being held to a 0-0 draw by a stubborn
Western Stima FC.
Despite the draw, Gor remain on course to win a third
successive SPL title as they maintain a four-point lead over second place
Sofapaka FC, who were in action against Tusker FC later in the day.
Debutants Stima on the other hand remain in 11th place with
33 points.
Gor now need to win four of their remaining matches to
ensure they cement their name on the SPL trophy, with an unprecedented 18th
crown.
Bandari FC missed out on the chance to reduce the gap
between and the top two SPL sides after being held to a frustrating barren draw
by Posta Rangers FC.
The third-place dockers dominated the encounter but could
not find the back of the net, leaving them with 48 points, four less than
Sofapaka FC in second.
For Posta, the point takes them to 25 points after 27
matches as they continue to battle toward regaining a spot in the top flight
next season.
