ISTANBUL, Turkey- Borussia Dortmund's Japanese international midfielder Shinji Kagawa is set to join Besiktas on loan for the rest of the season, according to Turkish media reports on Thursday.
The 29-year-old former Manchester United player had reportedly been a target of struggling French club Monaco but it now appears he could spend the rest of the season in Istanbul.
News agency DHA and sports daily Fanatik reported that he arrived in the city on Thursday to complete a six-month loan in a deal that gives the club the option to buy the player.
