Tusker FC played out to a barren draw against Nzoia Sugar on Wednesday to take them a step closer to clinching the Kenya Premier League title.
The draw leaves Robert Matano's charges on top of the KPL table with 62 points, three ahead of KCB who were held 1-1 by AFC Leopards.
Both results mean that even if Tusker lose and KCB win by a margin of six goals or less, the brewers will still be crowned champions for the first time since 2016.
Tusker's last game will be against Bidco United next Saturday at the Ruaraka Stadium, whilst the bankers will host Nairobi City Stars.
Elsewhere, it is confirmed that Western Stima will join Zoo FC in the National Super League next season after they were relegated from the Kenyan top flight.
Eric Otieno's 76th minute goal was enough as Wazito beat Stima 1-0, leaving them in 8th place on the log with 45 points, level with City Stars and Gor Mahia.
Sammy Onyango scored the lone goal in Gor's 1-0 win over Posta Rangers, ahead of their final day showdown against Nzoia.
Mathare United, who have been languishing in the relegation zone for the most part of the season, are now in 15th place with 27 points.
Their 1-0 win against Ulinzi Stars courtesy of a 9th minute John Mwangi goal, was enough to ensure their safety and will need a win to avoid a relegation play-off battle.
That will depend on the result of Vihiga's final match, who battled to a 3-1 win against Kakamega Homeboyz inspired by a Lawrence Luanda brace.
The victory leaves Vihiga in 16th with 22 points after winning two consecutive matches.
AFC Leopards will need to win their last game against Homeboyz and hope that Bandari lose if they are to round off the top 3 teams in the country.
Kariobangi Sharks suffered their fourth defeat in their last five matches, as they went down 1-0 to Bidco but remain in fifth place with 47 points despite the torrid run of form.
