NAIROBI, Kenya – Tusker FC edged Kenya Commercial Bank FC (KCB) 1-0 in a SportPesa Premier League match played at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Thursday afternoon to move to sixth in the standings.

Boniface Muchiri gave the brewers the solitary goal in the 51st minute after the rivals battled to a barren draw in the first half.

The Robert Matano’s side has so far accumulated 34 points in 22 games while KCB, who dipped to ninth, have 29.

Likewise, Collins Wakhungu was the only player who hit the target as he scored the 46th minute goal that gave hosts Nzoia Sugar FC a 1-0 win against Vihiga United at Sudi Stadium in Bungoma.

As a result of the victory, Nzoia moved to 10th on 28 while Vihiga (20) descended to 15th, just a step away from the relegation zone.

At Moi Stadium in Kisumu, the battle pitting Western Stima against SportPesa Cup champions, Kariobangi Sharks was tough which saw the contest end in a barren draw.

Sharks (31) remained in eighth same as Stima (26) who stayed in 13th.
