Man United confirm Anthony available for selection after domestic abuse allegations

The Brazilian has not featured for Manchester United since their 1-3 loss against Arsenal on 3 September.

Manchester United have announced that star winger Anthony will resume training with the first team after the Brazilian was dropped from the squad earlier this month following accusations of domestic abuse.
According to a press release issued by the club, the Brazilian international will also be available for selection.
"Since allegations were first made in June, Antony has co-operated with police inquiries in both Brazil and the UK, and he continues to do so.
“As Antony’s employer, Manchester United has decided that he will resume training at Carrington, and be available for selection, while police inquiries proceed” read part of the statement.
Manchester United added that they will keep a close eye on the case and make reviews in case of any development.
Moreover, the club also divulged that they do not support any form of harassment.
"As a club, we condemn acts of violence and abuse. We recognize the importance of safeguarding all those involved in this situation.
“And acknowledge the impact these allegations have on survivors of abuse." the statement ended.
Anthony’s return is a boost for United who are set to play two matches within four days.
The club, which sits 9th on the EPL table, is scheduled to square it out with Crystal Palace on Saturday before welcoming Galatasaray on Tuesday in a highly anticipated UEFA Champions League group stage fixture.
United will be seeking their first win in Europe after falling to a 3-2 defeat against Bayern Munich.
