Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) title hopefuls Kenya Police FC have completed the signing of South Sudan international Tito Okello.

The former Gor Mahia striker makes his comeback in the Kenyan top-flight after leaving the record 20-time Kenyan champions back in February 2022 where he lifted the Football Kenya Federation Cup during his stay.

At the time, Okello secured a two-year deal with Persian Gulf Pro League outfit Shahr Khodro Football Club.

However, he had to terminate the deal he had inked with Khodro after the club was banned from signing international players, switching clubs in Iran to Paykan.

In a post on the official social media platforms, Police confirmed the signing of Okello who signed a one-year deal and will be joined by national teammate Rashid Toha who signed a two-year deal.

“Done Deal. South Sudanese Internationals, Rashid Toha, central defender, and striker Tito Okello have officially signed a two and one-year contracts with the team respectively,” Police posted.

Okello, who has previously turned out for KCCA FC, SC Villa, BUL FC, Vipers SC in Uganda before joining Gor Mahia in 2020, will add to the attacking department at Kenya Police and will fight for a place with last season’s Golden Boot winner Elvis Rupia and David Simiyu.

25-year-old central defender Toha joins Police from Ugandan outfit Arua Hill but has also had a stint with Vipers.

The two new players add to the high-profile signings of Kenyan international Kenneth Muguna and Tyson Otieno who was one of the standout performers last season.

The Francis Baraza-coached side started the new 2023/24 campaign with a deflating barren draw against Kariobangi Sharks and will be hoping to get their first win when they play Posta Rangers on Friday in game week 2.
