Seal needed the win to confirm their participation in the Kenyan top flight next season and they came up with the goods with a record 20th win of the season.

"We went out there today with heart and thank God we got the result. We have done it, we are going to be in the KPL next season.

"The game was tough but we showed the perfect attitude and we were able to hold out for the win. This is for us and all our fans out there, we appreciate your support," captain John Kiplagat told SportPesa News.

Last season they finished third in the National Super League and booked a place in the promotion playoff against Wazito FC.

A dramatic two-legged affair ended in a hard fought 4-4 draw and Seal were unlucky to lose via the cruel away goal rule.

The team from Murang'a County was only founded in 2016 and have been on a steady rise since, overcoming all challenges and are now ready to play at the top club level in Kenyan football.

"We are beyond happy and without our chairman, the coach and our fans none of this would be possible.

"The season is not over and we remain focused as we prepare for our remaining fixtures. The title is still in our sights and we are going for it," Kiplagat added.
