- Wilson hit the headlines back in September 2023 when he was named in the Harambee Stars squad.
- At the time, the midfielder had only played two games in the top-tier Football Kenya Federation Premier League.
- AIK is currently home to Collins Sichenje and was once home to Eric 'Marcelo' Ouma.
Kenya’s fast-rising teenage midfielder Stanley Wilson has been invited to try out with Swedish top-flight side AIK Fotboll, SportPesa News can confirm.
The central midfielder hit the headlines back in September 2023 when Harambee Stars head coach Engin Firat made the bold decision to include him in the national team despite having only played two games in the top-tier Football Kenya Federation Premier League.
Having signed for Kariobangi Sharks around August from National Super League side Darajani Gogo, the midfielder went on to be named as a substitute in the international friendly against South Sudan.

Since then, the player has continued to attract interest with AIK calling him for trials after observing him in the local league matches.
“AIK Football has invited 17-year-old Stanley Wilson from the Kenyan club FC Kariobangi Sharks to a trial game with the club during the upcoming training camp in Marbella, Spain.
Stanley Wilson is a talented central midfielder who works hard and AIK Football's scouting team saw him in Kenya a couple of months ago. He will travel with the team to Marbella so that we can see him up close in our business,” AIK sporting director Thomas Berntsen is quoted on the club’s website.

During the training camp, a number of training sessions will be carried out and AIK will also play two scheduled practice matches against FK TSC Backa Topola (3/2) and Sarpsborg 08 FF (9/2) before returning to Stockholm on Saturday, February 10, 2024.
