Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal has hinted that the club is already preparing for life without their number one keeper David De Gea, Should the Spaniard decide to sign up with Real Madrid this summer.
Though De Gea has one year left on his old Manchester United contract, Real Madrid are keen on securing his services, According to reports on Spanish Media the goalkeeper has already agreed personal terms to join the Spanish capital club in the summer transfer window.
Van Gaal has already confirmed that the Red devils have offered De Gea a new deal worth “A lot of money”, and now it is up to him to decide his future.
While Speaking to the clubs official website Van Gaal Said:
“We know who already shall be the next goalkeeper. We have a list of goalkeepers who can replace him because we have to be organized also, not only for that position but every position. We want him to stay so hopefully he shall sign,”
The Tactician remains hopeful that De Gea will snub a chance to join Real Madrid and commit his future to the 20 time EPL champions.
“When you ask that, it’s dependable not of Manchester United, not of me, because we want him to sign. He has to sign; he has to want to stay here at Manchester United,”
“I don’t know [why he hasn’t decided]. I cannot say what he’s saying to me. We want him to stay and I hope he shall sign.”
Tottenham’s keeper Hugo Lloris has been identified as De Gea’s possible replacement, should he decide to move to the Los Blancos. Manchester United are also interested in the services former Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes, who is yet to make his first team debut since joining them in January.
