NAIROBI, Kenya- The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games entered their day six on Monday with Kenya winning her third medal when Stacy Ndiwa bagged silver in the women 10000m.

That was the silver lining for Team Kenya on a day when Uganda stole the thunder in distance running with Stella Chesang clinching their second gold when she beat Ndiwa to the line.

Following promising performances at the Hong Kong 7s, pumped up Shujaa and Lionesses men and women national rugby teams set sights on a piece of Commonwealth history on Monday as they departed for Gold Coast.

Still in Australia, three Kenyan boxers and two swimmers were eliminated from competition on Monday.

Uganda’s Chesang Denies Kenya Women 10000m Gold

GOLD COAST, Australia- Stella Chesang grabbed Uganda’s second gold of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games to deny Kenya a first top medal on Monday.
