Marcos Rojo has confirmed he is set to fulfill a dream with him all but set to join Manchester United from Sporting Lisbon after the Red Devils agreed a £16m deal with Nani going the other way.
United have been holding talks with Sporting over the last few days and look to have finally struck an agreement despite issues regarding third party ownership.
Reports say United will pay £16m up-front to the Portuguese with outcast Nani returning to his former club Sporting on-loan until the end of the season.
Rojo, who refused to train with Sporting last week before issuing an apology, is now preparing to fly to England to complete a medical and sign a five-year contract.
“I’m living this like a dream,’ he told Argentina radio. “United are a fantastic club. I spoke to Juan Veron about his opportunity and he gave me some advice. It wasn’t easy to leave Sporting.”
