Spain ace Koke has handed Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal a blow by insisting he has no plans to leave Atletico Madrid. The 23-year-old schemer has become one of the stars of Diego Simone’s side, who won the La Liga title last season.
And his performances for the club – as well as for the Spanish national side – have attracted interest from across Europe, including the Premier League.
United, Chelsea and Arsenal are all long-standing admirers, while reports last year suggested City were considering a £48m January bid, which would trigger his release clause.
However, Koke has now spoken out on his future – and it will come as bad news to the chasing pack, which is said to include both Real Madrid and Barcelona, too.
He told AS: “I see life in red and white. I am happy here, the club is growing and I grow with it. I don’t see the time or the place to leave here.”
