Three Real Madrid fans have been fined for their involvement in the attack on Gareth Bale’s car last weekend.Disgruntled fans gathered outside of Los Blancos’ Valdebebas training ground following the El Clasico defeat to Barcelona on Sunday night in order to confront the players.
But tensions boiled over so significantly that Bale’s white Bentley was attacked by the supporters as he departed the location.
A Spanish government commission has since investigated the incident and announced that three men have been fined for the incident.
The government’s anti-violence in sport commission imposed the fines – which will also see the three men banned from all Spanish sports stadiums for six months as a result.
It was revealed by Real Madrid early in the week that one of the men on the videoappeared to be a club member, who was subsequently suspended by the European champions.
That member will now face a disciplinary hearing with the club, as officials decide where to expel him.
As well as Welshman Bale being attacked, Jese Rodriguez and Carlo Ancelotti were also targeted.
Madrid fell to a 2-1 defeat to Barcelona, meaning that they have now dropped four points behind their great rivals in the race for the La Liga title.
