Pogba wants me to leave Manchester United for Juventus – Pereira

Manchester United youngster Andreas Pereira has revealed that Paul Pogba has told him to join Juventus.
The Belgium-born Brazil Under-20 international moved to Old Trafford in 2012 but has made just one senior outing for the club – during the 4-0 loss to MK Dons in the League Cup this season.

However, with the 19-year-old’s contract set to expire at the end of the current campaign, United risk losing the midfielder in similar fashion to Pogba’s move to Juventus in 2012.

Pereira confirmed he has rejected a contract extension at Old Trafford, lamenting he is “stuck” at the club, before insisting he will take time over deciding his next move – but admits Juventus is a dream destination.

“Everyone knows that Juventus is a great club,” Pereira told Tuttosport.

“I have spoken several times with Paul, he is a great friend of mine. He told me that I would fit in at Juventus very well, both professionally and personally. Two aspects that are very important to me.

“Right now, though, I’m stuck at United. My agent is evaluating the offers that have come to us, including from Juventus, but this is not a secret as it is not a secret that I’ve refused my current club’s latest offer.

“Of course I know the Italian league and I certainly would not be sorry to play there – it is one of the best. Then if I could do it with Pogba, it would be even more interesting.

“But, I would point that I have not yet made a decision. Together with my entourage I’m considering all proposals that have been made.

“Before making a decision I will have to evaluate many things, not only the economic aspect, which is important but will be not decisive for my final decision.”

Meanwhile, Goal undestands Chelsea and Manchester City are leading the race for Pogba’s signature, with the player keen on a return to the Premier League, while Barcelona scouted the player against Dortmund.

Pogba penned a new contract at San Siro in October, but the Serie A table-toppers are believed to be open to offers of at least £44 million for one of their star players.
