NAIROBI, Kenya- Decorated seasoned local golfer, Jacob Okello, long-hitting Dismas Indiza and Simon Ngige are among the 32 players selected to represent Kenya at the forthcoming KCB Karen Masters at the Karen Country Club from July 19 to 22.

Professional Golfers of Kenya (PGK) Captain CJ Wangai said seasoned Indiza who is based in Mumias and fellow local professional Ngige of Thika Sports Club as well as their teammates were selected to play at the Sunshine Tour event through a local qualifying system.

“It’s a good opportunity for Kenyan pros as we now have a chance of being ranked in the Sunshine Tour and securing possible invites for the players who will play well,” Wangai noted.

Former top amateur Alfred Nandwa (Railway), Anil Shah (Royal Nairobi), Boniface Kosgey (Gold Park), Wangai (Sigona), David Opati (Windsor), David Wakhu (Golf Park) and veteran Elisha Kasuku (Royal Nairobi) also made the team.

Erick Ooko (Royal Nairobi), Frank Matilo (Muthaiga), Ganeev Giddie (Muthaiga) and Hesbon Kutwa (Royal Nairobi), Boniface Simwa (Eldoret Club), Albert Orende (Vet Lab), Jeff Kubwa (Muthaiga), Joseph Karanja (Golf Park), Justus Madoya (Green Park), Ken Abuto (Royal Nairobi), Kevin Mabele (Kenya Air Force), Kopan Timbe (Muthaiga), Matthew Omondi (Vet Lab) and Mohit Mediratta (Sigona) also made the cut.

Nelson Mudanyi (Muthaiga), Nelson Simwa (Vet Lab), Ngugi Njuguna (Nyali), Richard Ainley (Nakuru), Rizwan Charania (Windsor), Sujan (Sigona) and Tony Omuli (Golf Park) complete the line-up.

The event will be curtain raised by the Pro-am on July 17.
