Tusker FC has resumed training ahead of the second half of the 2016 Sportpesa Premier League (SPL) season and head coach Paul Nkata says his priority is to stay atop the standings after closing the first leg at the summit.
To be able to fulfill his targets, the Ugandan coach says he has identified three players that can strengthen the team and remains confident that he will not lose any key players even as his assistant captain Humphrey Mieno continues being linked with a move to Gor Mahia.
“I have not heard of any of my senior players leaving ahead of the second leg and I hope it stays so.
“As for the transfers, once we settle in well we will be bringing on board three players to help the team in the second leg. We just resumed on Saturday and things are still not very clear,” he said.
The club is reported to have released three players; Joseph Wanyonyi, Ronald Musana and Fred Nkata but the coach declined to comment on the same, instead directing the question to the club Secretary General Charles Obiny.
