Tusker FC boss Paul Nkata will take his time before deciding on the players to recruit ahead of a new season.
Nkata led Tusker to a top-place finish in the 2016 season, and as his team prepares for the CAF Champions League, he says he will make the selections after careful evaluation of his team.
“We have a few areas that need reinforcement, but the selections will be made carefully and only deserving players will be recruited,” said Nkata.
Tusker won the league with one match left to play, taking over the title from Gor Mahia, who had until then managed to defend it for three seasons in a row.
They will now represent the country in the Champions League next year.
The Brewers also won the domestic shield after beating Ulinzi Stars in the final, and were set to play in the CAF Confederations Cup.
However, when the Champions League chance was confirmed, they relegated the Confederations Cup duty to the Soldiers.
