The ex-Man Utd manager has been linked with a return to England, but he has insisted he will not ditch the Liga club he joined this seasonReal Sociedad coach David Moyes has told Premier League suitors he is “not going anywhere” amid continued speculation he will return to England.

The Scot was ousted as Manchester United manager after less than a season in charge at Old Trafford last year, with the club’s hierarchy unhappy with how he had performed following the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson.

Moyes returned to coaching in unfamiliar surroundings by taking the Sociedad position and, though both West Ham United and Newcastle United are reported to want him to come back to the Premier League, he claims to have no intention of ditching La Liga so soon into his Anoeta tenure.

“I want to try to get everything in place so we can be at our best for the start of next season,” he told The Guardian. “I don’t think we need masses and masses of changes.

“But there are improvements I’d like to make, things I want to change. Small things that will help. I’m not going anywhere.

“Carlos Vela makes such a difference. This year we don’t have an Antoine Griezmann or a Claudio Bravo. We don’t need 10 players, but we certainly need two to four.

“I want new analysts. We have a chief scout; but I would like another. I would like scouts in different countries. I’ve started to put the recruitment process in place and, in time, that will help.”

Moyes’ future may be taken out of his hands, with some local media questioning whether he is the right man for the job as Real Sociedad have won only one of their last eight games.
