AFC Leopards came from a goal down to hold reigning champions Gor Mahia to 1 -1 draw in a fascinating Kenyan Premier League match up at the Nyayo National Stadium yesterday.
Gor Mahia’s Ali Abondo was the first to break the ice late in the first half before Jacob Keli countered K’o galo with an equalizer in the second half.
The Hype before the game was at its best, with Ingwe seeking to maintain an unbeaten run against their acrh rivals to four Games, while Kogalo were seeking to break their four game derby hodoo and maintain their current unbeaten run in the #KPL
It was a match full of action on both sides of the pitch, especially in the early minutes. The first piece of action by Gor Mahia was witnessed in the 10th minute when Sibomana chipped a fine ball inside the Leopards backline and found Michael Olunga whose first shot was blocked by blocked by Jackson Saleh.
Leopards meanwhile were content with sitting back and catching their opponents with counter attacks. It is one such counter that resulted in their equaliser.
With action swinging from side to side, both teams had a fair share of opportunities to score but neither one made use of them and had to be content with one point each.

The result left Gor Mahia still on top of the league table with 13 points and the only unbeaten side in the league while Leopards are seventh with nine points from six games.
