NAIROBI, Kenya- AFC Leopards SC striker Andrew Tololwa has lashed out at the ‘disrespect’ showed to him by new Head Coach Dorian Marin after being substituted in the first half of their SportPesa Premier League (SPL) barren draw against Mathare United FC.
In his first league game since taking over the club on Saturday at Nairobi’s Nyayo National Stadium, the Romanian hooked Tololwa off in the 33rd minute for Ugandan Musa Mudde who rejoined the club last week.
The incensed forward then snubbed the coach’s handshake as he made his way to the bench.
“I was offended by thea way the coach was trying to pass on the blame on me, which was very wrong,” the former Tusker FC player lamented.
Tololwa attempted to draw a line under the incident when asked whether it had damaged his standing with the former Eritrea national head coach who succeeded Briton Stewart Hall.
“Human beings react at the spur of the moment. I was offended and I showed it. Hopefully the coach will talk to me and make me see my wrong doing,” the forward added.
Marin picked a point on his SPL debut as Mathare recorded their fourth draw of the season.
