12 times Kenya league champions AFC Leopards have registered yet another win after a hard fought 2-1 victory over Bandari at the Mbaraki stadium in Mombasa. After a barren first half, midfield marshall Musa Mudde opened the scoring for Ingwe in the 47th minute.
In what turned out to be a lively second half, the Bandari faithful were soon up on their feet, celebrating David King’atua’s equaliser for the dockers in the 65th minute. And just when the home team was stamping its authority in the match, Ingwe grabbed the second goal, this time striker Jacob Keli finding the target in the 70th minute.
the win, the second in a row for ingwe after the 5-1 crashing of Sony Sugar elevates them to fourth on the log on 18 points, nine points behind leaders Gor Mahia after 11 rounds of matches.
In another match played in Nakuru, Ulinzi Stars will rue the missed chances as they were held to a barren draw by Chemelil Sugar at the Afraha stadium. Ulinzi threw everything at Chemelil Sugar but the goal would just not come. Ulinzi now from to 6th on the log on 17 points. The soldiers might drop further down the log if Sofapaka pick a win on Wednesday May 13th against second placed Thika United.
