Korir promises to impress for Daemen

Kenyan runner Laban Korir has promised to keep working hard as he looks to impress for the Daemen College’s track and field team, popularly known as the Daemen Wildcats.

Korir, 20, a graduate of Litein High School, and who has in the past been trained by former cross country champion Titus Limo, will enroll in classes and join the Daemen cross country/track and field programs in the upcoming Spring 2017 semester.

“I am really glad that I got this chance to represent a college I have always wanted to join and I will keep working hard in order to lift the name of the institution to greater heights,” said Korir.

At Daemen, Korir will major and in Natural Sciences and “will be competing for the Daemen indoor track and field team upon his arrival, concluding the spring with the outdoor track and field season, before running cross country next fall,” read the update on the Wildcat site.

Daemen College is a liberal arts college in Amherst, New York that also offers graduate programs in business, healthcare and education.
