KCB Women Volleyball Team Feted For Domestic Success

NAIROBI, Kenya- They have not won the national title yet but that did not stop the sponsors of the KCB women volleyball team from celebrating their recent on Wednesday.

The team clinched the title during the opening round of Kenya Volleyball Federation tournament in Bungoma a fortnight ago before sinking DCI 3-1 in the league.

That earned the side KSh150,000 presented to them by KCB Head of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs Judith Sidi Odhiambo and Board Director Njeri Onyango in Nairobi.

“We are delighted with your performance this season, the task ahead is winning the remaining outings this year,” said Sidi who is the patron of the team.

The breakfast meeting was attended by KCB and national legends among them; Rose Wanjala, Ann Wahombe and Dorcas Tidi.

“We played with our hearts out and with great team work and resilience we won major honors in the region, you should strive for the same” added Njeri who is a former player of the team.

Left attackers Egline Kulova and Metrine Wabwile, Right attackers Nancy Mulonza and Lucy Mumo and two Libero’s -Lincy Jeruto and Millicent Wanjala are the new additions that have bolstered the banker’s vault this season.
