NAIROBI, Kenya- Leaders Kawangware United FC face struggling Kiambiu Youth FC keen to put further distance between them and the chasing pack in one of the seven match-ups in round 25 of the SportPesa Super 8 Premier League (SPS8PL) this weekend.
Fellow Western Conference side and closest challengers, NYSA are out to take advantage on any slip up by the front runners to crawl back the six-point difference at the summit of the 16-team log when travel to face Technical University of Kenya (TUK).
With five games to go; Kawangware have accrued 53 points with NYSA (47) and Eastern Conference sides- Jericho FC (46) and Zamalek (FC)- rounding the top four of the competition where the winners will pocket KSh1m.
Kawangware United v Kiambiu Youth FC (3pm)
Kawangware will be looking to tighten the grip at the top when they battle basement side Kiambiu at BP Stadium in Kawangware.
League top scorer; Francis Thairu is raring to add to his goal tally and take another step towards sealing a second successive Golden Boot.

Second placed NYSA have a hot date with former champions TUK at the latter’s back yard at CID grounds in South C in the highlight clash of the weekend.
NYSA were stunned 4-1 by Umeme in game week 24 for their third loss of the season and host a TUK (40) side harbouring post-season play off ambitions having failed to mount a title challenge.
First leg honours went to NYSA, who are making their debut in the SPS8PL in a 1-0 victory, giving TUK extra motivation to hit back.
Kabete United vs Metro Sports FC (3pm)
Kabete United will be looking to put an end to their poor run when they host Metro Sports FC at Lower Kabete Campus.
United (27) who are winless in nine have plummeted to 11th after chalking eight wins and three draws with their coach; Peter Opiyo keen to arrest the rot for the Western outfit.
With only three points separating the two sides, Metro who are a place above will be looking recover from their embarrassing 3-0 home defeat against TUK last weekend.
Metro took the spoils with a slender 2-1 win when the two sides met back in May and will be aiming for a double against fellow West-siders.
Zamalek v Meltah Kabiria FC (3PM)
At Drive Inn grounds, East Conference debutants Zamalek will be counting on home fan base to gun down visiting seventh-place Kabiria (37) to continue their dream run in the competition where they are hoping to seal a slot in the Champions League.
Jericho FC v MASA (3PM)
An enticing East Conference derby is set to ignite Camp Toyoyo grounds when home team Jericho FC welcome long-time rivals Makongeni Sports Association (MASA).
Jericho who beat Macmillan in their last league game sit nicely in third and will be aiming to continue with their title push with a win against MASA who sit six places below on 32.
Kayole Asubuhi v Macmillan FC (3PM)
Champions Kayole (42) plays Macmillan at Calvary grounds seeking three points to enhance a solid finish with their hopes of a successful defence all but gone.
The East Conference side under stewardship of former SportPesa Premier League leaders; Gor Mahia FC Isaiah Omondi are fifth while 13th-placed Macmillan (23) are fighting to avoid the chop.

Ole Rongai entertain Blue Stars at Nakeel grounds as they seek to ease fears of being relegated to the second division. Rongai are languishing in 14th on 19 while Blue Stars are two places above with 25 points.
Team Umeme will receive three points and a 2-0 victory following the withdrawal of their scheduled opponents, Ajax Youth FC. According to competition rules, the points accrued from the latter will be redistributed to the rest of the sides in the SPS8PL.
