Juventus to maintain defensive style when they face Real Madrid tonight.

Juve manager Massimilliano Allegri has hinted that his team will maintain their traditional style of defending when they play Real Madrid Tonight. However he also admitted that it is vital to attack in order to progress to the finals.

Juventus who were recently crowned Italian Champions will be travelling to the Santiago Bernabeu for the Second Leg of their champions League Semifinal clash against Real Madrid.

Juve are meeting their worthy opponents with a slender advantage in the tie having won their first leg encounter 2-1. While speaking to UEFA Allegri clarified that he doesn’t purpose for his side to diverge away from their traditional defending style, but acknowledged that the chances of the match finishing in a stalemate are very low. There for it is of importance for Juve to attack and possibly grab an away goal.

“We won’t change the way we defend”, he was quoted as saying by UEFA.

“This will be an interesting match – from a tactical point of view, we can’t change much from the first leg. We will need to be really good to get through this match with serenity.

We’ll have to play well, but getting a 0-0 draw will be almost impossible. In this kind of game you can’t just think about defending.

“We’ll have to be much better in possession.”

He further acknowledged that playing in the semi-finals of such an important competition comes with additional pressure, but hopes that his team bring the house down and progress to the final.

“This is a UEFA Champions League semi-final and there will be a lot of pressure. It won’t be a normal game. I’m happy to be where I am.

“I hope to get a big result and reach the final.”
