NAIROBI, Kenya – Record SportPesa Premier League (SPL) champions Gor Mahia FC will now take on Muhoroni Youth FC on August 19.
K’Ogalo who returned from Tanzania on Friday were scheduled to play Muhoroni on Saturday but the round 16 fixture has been re-arranged due to their involvement in a friendly match against English Premier League (EPL) side Everton FC.
Game in hand
Gor gave a good account of themselves against the nine-time England champions with Jacques Tuyisenge cancelling superstar Wayne Rooney’s opener in the first half before Kieran Dowell notched an 87th minute winner.
“Our much awaited Gor Mahia Vs Muhoroni Youth match has been moved to 19th August in Kisumu. Our next assignment is against Nakumatt FC on 22nd July,” Club Organising Secretary Judith Anyango posted on Facebook.
The record 15-time SPL winners are third on the standings with 28 points, one behind Ulinzi Stars FC and Posta Rangers FC but with a game in hand.
