Gor Mahia custodian Boniface Oluoch has praised his colleague Collins “Gattuso’ Okoth for his role in the team.the former brewer believes the defensive midfielder is vital in current setting of the thirteen times Kenyan Premier League champions and has proved to be consistent on the pitch.
“All players are good, everyone is contributing to our growth and that is why we are on top of the table, but I like ‘Gattuso’ for his contribution in the team. He is a motivator, works tirelessly and hates to lose. He is one man, who can push you to the maximum.
“As a goalkeeper, you have to position your players in strategic positions and ensure they are not pulled by the opponents. I do not find it hard to position him, he is always ready to sacrifice for the team and assist the defense at all times. It is something he does to the maximum and his effect is felt.
“His experience is also good; remember he played for us, and then Sofapaka, Tusker and now us again. It is something which is important to all players, a great deal of experience which provides tactical awareness in whichever the formation the team is playing. With him in the team, the balance is good. It is a blessing to have him.”
