AFC Leopards Ghanaian midfielder Gilbert Fiamenyo will be taking part in the team’s training session at the Marist International College on Thursday 12 January, the club confirmed on Wednesday on its official Twitter handle.

The midfielder was brought on board in 2016 but due to paperwork issues, he could not get the clearance to feature for the team in time but the club is counting on him for the 2017 season.

His arrival, stated on the handle to be on Wednesday 11 January, coincides with the departure of another West African, Malian midfielder Moussa Sissoko who was at the team for the second part of the 2016 season, after being brought in by Ivan Minnaert.

“We also wish to notify members that Gilbert Fiamenyo (R) will arrive from this evening & will be training with the rest of the team tomorrow,” the post reads.

The club has meanwhile, confirmed the departure of lead striker Kepha Aswani while the acquisition of Whyvonne Isuza and Robinson Kamura is on hold pending the expiry of their deals at Mathare United on 15th January.
