Manchester United’s David de Gea believes he is still improving as a goalkeeper. The Spaniard has enjoyed another excellent season at Old Trafford and was last month named in the PFA Team of the Year.
His performances have led to interest from Real Madrid, with the 24-year-old’s current United deal expiring at the end of next season.
The Red Devils are desperate to keep hold of him and will offer £200,000-a-week wages to do so – and De Gea believes he is only going to get better.
“Yes, I have [improved],” he told Inside United magazine.
“I’m very young and I always try to keep getting better, in every training session, every match, and I think it’s been a very productive season for me.
“I’m still growing as a player; I’m very satisfied with the season that I and we have had.”
De Gea looks a certainty to win United’s Player of the Year prizes again, having enjoyed a clean sweep at the end-of-season awards last term.
