On Tuesday, the Daily Telegraph serialised a section of Guillem Balague’s new book titled “MESSI”.Balague claims in the book that:
“Ronaldo, perhaps as a symptom of the immaturity that marks so many footballers, thinks it necessary to put on a brave face in front of his team-mates, not be scared of Messi and to rise to the challenge. All very macho; all very false.
“And that is why, according to some Real Madrid players, CR7 has a nickname for him: ‘motherf—-r’; and if he sees someone from the club speaking to Leo, he also ends up being baptised ‘motherf—-r’.”
This made big news yesterday and it didn’t take long for Cristiano Ronaldo to respond, see the Facebook post above.
Worrying times for Guillem Balague – known as one of the most reliable journalists from Spain, the suave Espanyol fan works for the likes of Sky Sports, AS and Bleacher Report.
And, fair play to Cristiano Ronaldo, with 100 million followers on Facebook, the Portuguese superstar can respond to these accusations in a quick fashion and set the record straight.
