LONDON, England- Chelsea boss Antonio Conte should swoop for Alexis Sanchez and Sergio Aguero, former Blues player Joe Cole has advised.
In a report published on football365.com, the former title-winner with Chelsea said the English Premier League (EPL) champions should not look outside the league to replace Diego Costa who is expected to leave this summer.
Conte has informed the Brazilian born Spain international that he is no longer part of his plans and is free to look for a new club.
With Everton FC and former Chelsea player Romelu Lukaku top on the list, Cole has suggested the club should target Chilean Sanchez who top scored for London rivals Arsenal FC and unsettled Manchester City FC lethal Argentina forward Aguero.
In their prime
“Obviously the Costa thing has come out. Conte has told him that he wants him out so you would be looking at a striker.
“Sergio Aguero is in his prime, Alexis Sanchez is in his prime. I think one of them three could be enough to make sure Chelsea are not weakened and maybe strengthened a little bit as well,” Cole was quoted on Goal.com.
“The financial structure of it and the cost. I wouldn’t look outside of Lukaku, Sanchez and Aguero. (Alvaro) Morata is another one but he has never played in England so there is a little question mark there. Certainly they would be the players to look at,” Cole added.
Real Madrid striker Morata is heavily linked with Manchester United FC.
