Chemelil Sugar will hope to continue in their new found form when they take on Muhoroni Youth on Sunday August 2nd at the Kisumu Stadium.
The sugar millers have picked four out of a possible six points in the last two matches and Coach Mike Mururi will be keen to pick up another three as they step up the fight to evade relegation.
Mururi has been impressed with the way his defense has improved.
“We have only conceded one and it was away to City Stars. That shows that there has been some improvement and it is something good and a first step to ensuring we keep our fight to go up the standings. I am confident we can go all the way and finish in the top five,” Mururi said.
“We now need to improve in our striking because we create so many chances but converting them is a problem. I am optimistic we can do that even going to the next match against Muhoroni,” added Mururi.
A win for 13th placed Chemelil will take them to 12th and give them some breathing in their efforts of avoiding the axe. The sugar millers had started the second leg badly despite the fact that they had a stellar season last year where they finished fifth.
