Kenya Pipeline Volleyball club has maintained its ground, not to play in the fourth leg of national Volleyball league set for this Friday May 29th in Eldoret and instead opted to defend their AMACO International Volleyball tournament title which serves off the following day.
Pipeline and Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) will be returning to the local tournamnet series for the for the first time after missing the last two legs staged in Kericho and Bungoma.
League matches will take place on Friday May 29th to pave way for the AMACO tournament which has attracted over 60 local clubs.
KDF who beat Cooperative Bank to the Sh. 100,000 prize money last year will be looking for their second trophy this year after clinching Kenya Pipeline Corporation Open tournament in February in Nakuru .
AMACO pumped in three million shillings in the tournament considered to the most lucrative out of 10 leg local series. The Paul Bitok Foundation donated Sh. 100,000.
The Insurance company took over the title sponsorship of the tournament last year from Paul Bitok Foundation.
