Sportpesa Premier League (SPL) side Posta Rangers has confirmed former Tusker, Oserian and Sony Sugar coach Sammy Omollo as the new head coach following the reorganization on the team’s technical bench in October.
The club chairman John Tonui has revealed the new coach will work on a one year deal and will have former coach Zedekiah Otieno serving as the Technical Director.
He says after a fine season, the club is setting the bar higher and thus the reason for hiring the coach a former premier league winning coach and accomplished defender at his time.
“We have confirmed Pamzo in the position on a one year contract, with Zico being appointed the new TD. These changes are meant to breathe a fresh lease of life in the team after the 2016 season.
“2016 was a good season for us but we feel there is more ground we can cover. The appointments are meant to inspire a higher return for us in 2017 and beyond and we hope the coach does well,” he said.
Tonui further revealed that the coach will name his own assistant coach.
