Western Stima have dismissed reports that influential midfielder Kenneth Muguna could be joining Gor Mahia as unfounded.
A post on the club’s official Facebook page asserts that Muguna is not available for transfer to other teams in the coming transfer window.
“Reports that Kenneth Muguna is headed to Gor mahia is not true, he is our player and he is not for sale. Not this season. We are sorry to admirers,” read the post (sic).
Various media houses had reported that Gor Mahia’s head coach Jose Ze Maria Ferreira had set his eyes on the player, who joined Stima in January from Kisumu based National Super League side Palos.
Muguna, who was the Sportpesa Premier League player of the month in August, scored four goals in the 2016 season.
So impressive was the player this season that he was called up to the national team, Harambee Stars, in August by coach Stanley Okumbi, although he is yet to get his first cap.
